Album Notes
Life is precious; what’s here today may be gone tomorrow. Tubaluba is the respect your life deserves. Celebrate what you’ve got! Sing and dance, blow your horn, shake your pants, and make a joyful noise. That’s the Tubaluba lifestyle. We don’t miss a chance to dance, and we make the time to play! We do it so much, we’ve gotten real good at it. Come find yourself with Tubaluba!

Our music was born from brass, forged in the hips, tempered with a dose of New Orleans tradition, and cultivated in the artistic fusion reactors of Seattle. We pull songs right out of your soul and play them for your body, creating a kinetic euphoria that has an intrinsic life of its own. We found a way to join powerful horns with a silky voice. We have a magic tuba. We play trumpets, trombones, and saxophones. We sing and we dance, wear costumes, and laugh. Ain’t nothin’ wrong.

We play some stuff everybody likes to sing. We write music to suit our festive outlook. We pay reverent tribute to the folks who come to us for a visceral celebration. It ain’t nothin’ but a party, after all! We are synonymous with brass band in the Pacific Northwest and we’re looking East with eager anticipation.
So take a minute. When you see a funky parade celebrating soul in your neighborhood; when you see a party of dancing horns spill out of a city bus; when your restaurant, your wedding, nightclub, or festival is bursting with brass; simply abandon your inhibitions and remember your obligation. Do your duty to your booty; respect yourself.
