Tubb n' Chubb's Fat Funk Fiesta was forged within the fleshy folds of D.J. Phillips and Jacob Grimm. As freshman living on the third floor of Pembroke Hall at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, they were brought together by a common disgust for walking up three flights of stairs to get to their respective rooms. After months of eating together, jamming together, and eating together they decided to put their creative talents together to form a comedy rock duo. Prestigious Nashville venues such as Bongo Java, Guido's Pizza, and various Belmont dormitories welcomed the dilatory duo with open arms. However, as time went by and failures increased they decided to have friends with real, recognizable musical talent share the stage and cover for their blunders. Beau Ducote, Jon Surratt, Dango, Jon Grant, Jason Harris, and Shea Hardin have all lent their respective creative gifts to TC3F on multiple occasions. Their goal is to entertain. Short and simple. Phillips and Grimm refuse to stoop to putting forth positive messages or touching lives one show at a time. Bells, whistles, and various other gimmicks are employed and encouraged. Will they dress up like buffoons to make you laugh? Will they incorporate water gargling solos despite the mess? You bet they will.

this tubb and chubb is the fattest thing to hit the pop-funk scene since jt left his crew. if you like words sang over music you will definately dig this freshman effort by a band you will not be able to escape. a mix of quality music with quarky lyrics creates an educated yet entertaining sound foreign to the music world of today.

Hot as Nuts

Tasty sweet beats, licks, lines, lyrics, and improv piano. A most decent effort showing the recent maturation from small-town Ohio songwriter to National Touring Act caliber superstar.
