Ethereal Music

Tunde Jegede's CD Still Moment is positively ethereal. I would characterize it as the sonic equivalent of a deep meditation. It is music that could ease you out of the dream world at 5am and leave you feeling still connected. His gifted Kora compositions, adorned with flute, executed by Maya Jobarteh and Jan Hendrickse, feel spiritually infused, as though they emanate from a high vibrational sphere. And these are just my subjective impressions! I have not been able to remove Still Moment from my CD player since purchasing it, except to intersperse it with another of his great CDs, Lamentation. Within the African Classical Music genre, Tunde Jegede overlays African, classical, and New Age sensibilities to provide a transcultural, transtemporal musical experience you will not soon forget, particularly if you are a person for whom tranquility is a defining life value.
