My friends call me Moe or Dr Moe. I am a Phd Psychologist recovering from "Burnout." I write and record music to heal my Soul. I'm told the music is uplifting, inspirational and "Fun" - works for me! I like the sounds of The Doors, Tom Petty, Brian Ferry, The Hothouse Flowers and Joan Osborne. There's a Rockin Blues quality here that just grabs me, and the lyrics, well the lyrics seem to come from "Out There" someplace, where we're being watched in a friendly & loving manner.
My songs reflect my life experience, both as a guy trying to find his way in the World and as a therapist who for nearly 20 years listened to people talk about their pain and then looked to me for some guidance. Awesome Responsibility! Everything I learned about Life comes from these two main sources.
From these, I've learned 3 basic things: 1) We're all in this together; 2) Love is the most potent medicine in the World, and 3) Never say "never" - anything's possible! Here I am in my 50's selling music that I've written, performed and recorded after spending half of my life as a helping professional. How's that for a Cosmic Surprise? Let me know how you like the music. ENJOY!

Catchy, uplifting music will let you begin!

"Let it Begin" is Maurice Turmel's first, and finest, album. His uplifting musical message propels the listener closer to God through song. Highlights on this album include the opening track, "My Vision of Heaven," as well as "Castles in the Sand," "Twilight Time," and "Little Boy Blue."

"Let it Begin" led me to the light.

I wouldn't consider myself a religious man. I was at a point in my life where I didn't have any direction, and was drifting aimlessly. That's when a close friend suggested that I listen to a cd that had already changed his life. That cd was, Let It Begin.
Dr. Moe's thought-provoking lyrics made everything so clear to me. It was without a doubt a life changing moment, and made it clear to me what I had to do to sort out things for myself. It's so good to finally hear some great religious music that is liberal and pro-gay! Thanks Dr. Moe.
