Alt country’s newest rockabilly champions of the spaghetti westerns underdogs have arrived! The energetic and enthusiastic quartet have recently finished recording their second full length album, ‘Teeth Like A Chainsaw‘, and are eager to get the music road tested.

Over the past two years the Turncoats have played a wide variety of festivals and venues including the Mainstage at the South Country Fair, Spectrum, and have been featured on CKXU in Lethbridge and on the A-Channel in Calgary. They have had the opportunity to share the stage with many of Alberta’s finest acts including Corb Lund and the Hurtin’ Albertans, John Wort Hannam, and Tim Williams.

I have been listening to these guys since they first started playing in Lethbridge and I think they are fantastic! The CD is full of really good songs! My favorite song is Misery. Andy, come back soon!

It is a damn fine record...a fantastic arrangement of storytelling, hillbilly-folk-punk-whateveryouwanttocallit, killer vocals, and raw music. I must admit, this CD (or the band for that matter) isn't like anything else I listen to. I don't listen to country at all, but it reminds me a lot of irish folky type music...not the sound, but the feel of the songs and stories. This CD has a lot of "soul" (and I don't mean R&B!). It's all good! Buy this CD! :)
