"God pummeling you with splendor and unrelenting fury; expanding the depths of your conscious realm creating an undercurrent of extraordinary disbelief. Maddening in its precision, the complexity of inner workings will astound the muse that has been lying dormant within you."
Houston band The Pant Factory started as a means for guitarist/composer George Heathco, drummer/engineer Gus Alvarado, and bassist Jack Gordon to flex their instrumental skills and hone their songwriting chops. The addition of vocalist/engineer Ben Cunningham only accelerated the band's constant desire to push themselves, mentally and musically, into a progressive math metal quartet, whose sound can be described as diverse, energetic, and intricately crafted hard-rock and roll.
Fueled by a DIY sensibility and a compulsion for independence, the band produced and recorded their first album, Omniumgatherum, which was self-released in the Spring of 2008. The seven-song album is a 45 minute tour de force that fuses hard-rock, metal, elements of jazz, and contemporary classical techniques together, creating a sound that is at once intriguing and hard-hitting.
With a steadily growing fanbase and a perpetual drive to push the envelope of artistic expression, the evolution of The Pant Factory has only seen its beginning.
