En el año 2000, se forma la banda con su actual alineación, todavía sin el nombre oficial. Pero, es en agosto del 2001 cuando graban su primer EP de 4 canciones el cual los lleva a tocar en el circuito de antros y bares de la ciudad de México, empezando así a juntar a su grupo de seguidores. En ese año adoptan el nombre de “Televisión Kamikaze”.
En 2002, comienza la consolidación como banda local y a mediados de año graban la canción “Pasadomañana”, la cual empezó a sonar en algunas estaciones de radio, permitiéndoles salir de la capital a recorrer en resto de la república mexicana.
A principios del 2003, se inscriben en el concurso “Rastreo de Bandas”, organizado por Orbita 105.7 FM, del cual surgen como la banda ganadora del primer lugar. Este triunfo los llevó a abrir el Festival “Vive Latino” 2003, a colocar la canción “Miente Más” en el soundtrack del
reality show “Fear Factor” y a fi rmar con la disquera Sum Records. En julio y agosto de ese año, graban su primer álbum con 12 tracks musicales y uno interactivo.
En el año 2004, iniciaron la gira correspondiente a la promoción del disco, recibiendo nuevamente la invitación para participar en el “Vive Latino”. Produjeron el video de la canción “Pasadomañana”, realizado por Atole Films y dirigido por Elías Herrera Zacarías, el cual continúa actualmente rotando en canales de México.
Televisión Kamikaze ha compartido escenario con Julieta Venegas, Resorte, La Lupita, Ely Guerra, Genitallica, El Gran Silencio, Fobia, Los Enanitos Verdes, La Ley, Molotov, Maldita Vecindad, Jumbo, entre muchas más. Su disco ya se encuentra editado en Brasil, Colombia,
Chile y ahora a partir de Octubre 2005 le toca a Estados Unidos.

Television Kamikaze’s band members fi rst met in 2000. It took them until 2001 to find an official name. But once they had the name, it didn’t take them long to record a 4 song demo and hit the local underground scene in Mexico City. Gaining the attention of followers amongst bar and antros regulars, by 2002 they were already recognized as one of the hottest rising local bands. All it took was “Pasadomañana”, which became a huge radio hit, to open doors outside Mexico City and to bring the band to the attention of fans around the country.
But the “Year of TV Kamikaze” was 2003. They signed up to participate in the “Rastreo de Bandas” contest, organized by legendary Orbita 105.7 FM. They came away with fi rst place, which entitled them to open the highly regarded “Festival Vive Latino,” which paved the way for them to include “Miente Más” on hit TV reality show “Fear Factor’s” soundtrack! And on, and on and on...culminating in their “12 tracks plus interactive features” Sum Records debut. Quite a year.
In 2004, Television Kamikaze promoted its album extensively, including a second appearance at the “Vive Latino” festival. Their video of “Pasadomañana” was produced by Atole Films and directed by Elías Herrera Zacarías. It’s still being played on Mexican video shows
and cable stations.
