Self-penned tunes that fall somewhere between Johnny Cash and Tom Petty. Or think maybe John Hiatt or Steve Earle meets Chrissie Hynde if she sang all twangy-like.

Album Notes

Not really rock, not really country, not really blues, not really folk and not maybe not even the ever-popular alt-country, Wisconsin's female-fronted Twang Dragons certainly have "twang".

But don't let that deter you. There's a distinct, carefree Seventies vibe to the music on Shakin & Twitchin, and Lisa Hannon's voice recalls Linda Ronstadt in her prime, singing songs carried by dual guitars that wouldn't sound out of place on early Stones and Tom Petty albums. For something a bit different, try the Twang Dragons.

Read the title out loud, then look at yourself and guess what? You are, funnily enough,Shakin and twitchin for sure.I read somewhere that the Twangs have a Stonesey sound?Listen to the album and tell me if the Stones could compete. The lead vocals lift you like a feather in defiance of gravity, and the rest of the ensemble just carry you along on a cloud of purest gossamer. There is a downside. The album is too short by about 4 hours.
