THE HOLT TWINS have been singing together since early childhood harmonizing and blending voices in a beauty and closeness attainable when you are fortunate enough to enter the world identically. They play countless instruments between them, including 6 & 12 string guitars, bass, keyboards, flute, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, viola, harmonica, hammered & mountain dulcimers, recorders, sax, plus ukelin, and chartola.
Originally from Sinking Spring, PA, this unique act started performing when just teenagers and quickly became the most requested act in Berks County so much so that even 15 years into their performances they were requested to be the main act at Reading’s Best Fest . They also had their photo buried in a time capsule during the Berks Bicentennial. The Twins have traveled and performed at Folk Festivals, Concerts, Universities, Churches, schools and clubs across the country, including performances at Hershey Park & Hotel, Bethlehem Musikfest, Haycreek Festival, and shows with Tom Chapin. They have done studio work in Chicago and Pennsylvania and have completed 4 albums from which they have received various airplay.
Happy Birthday Jesus is a collection of some of The Holt Twins favorite Christmas folksongs along with originals all played with many stringed instruments & flute, and sung with the amazing harmonies that folks have come to know them by. They have included choir members from Linda's choir, (she wrote "Christmas Everyday" for her junior choir to sing at Trinity Lutheran Church). Also, Linda's daughter, Charmaine, and some of her former students, Sara Hissner & Sarah Long, joined them in song. One original,"Tonight", was written & sung by 14 year old Amanda Hornberger from Linda's teen choir at Trinity. "Love Came Down" was written by her father, Dave Hornberger , and Amanda and her sister, Jessica , sang it with Linda & Emily. The title song is the first Christmas song The Holt Twins wrote together.

Happy Birthday Jesus -- The Holt Twins
author: Sue and Jim
We loved all of the songs on this album. The Holt Twins have beautiful harmonizing voices that make each song special. We also loved the way that each instrument added to the blending voices giving depth and character to the music. We have played this continually throughout the holidays and it has become a Christmas favorite. We thank you for this wonderful music!
