ENGLISH:
This album, originarily conceived as an "extra" for our fans, is a narrated version (with music soundtrack) of the stories who inspired our first two music albums. Both stories (written by Duilio Chiarle) are here narrated in both italian and english, for your listen.
Narrating voices: John Worsley (Fall of an ancient town) and "Lonesome" Dave Long ("Alchemist and Inquisitor").
The two stories are fantasy/historical fictions, wrote by a pro-writer and read over a soundtrack background conceived to be their soundtrack.
"Fall of an ancient town" is conceived as a storytelling, such as the ones you have in front of a campfire at late night. "The Alchemist and the Inquisitor" is a story with a short historical foreword, and it tells of an alchemist and of his nemesis, Torquemada.

A couple of words about our 8-members chillout orchestra, who played the soundtrack:
"Listening to the TWM you'd travel into a relaxing world of good music. TWM plays a mix of acoustic and electronic music, sometimes inspired by ancient or traditional tunes (Irish, indian or spanish), mixed with modern sounds, from chill-out to jazz, with a mix of acoustic and electronic instruments. The music of TWM is something that will make you dream. A dream you won't forget."
(published TWM review)

This Wimshurst's Machine's first album ("A traveller who didn't ask for glory", Statue records 2004) is based on the notion that ancient explorers lived most of their lives through violent but incredible adventures. In this album you may read (and listen to) a story that tells about an ancient traveler that obtained glory while he was searching for himself across the world.

In "The Alchemist" (TWM's second album, Artistlaunch, 2005) the storytelling is about an Alchemist, during the spanish late middle age. Also in this other album you may listen to more than 1 hour of music, ideally the soundtrack of the story the CD itself is telling (that you may also read from the inlay card), flowing as in a movie.

Now available also "Time Traveller", a new sudio 37 tracks double CD album with more than 2 hours of music, lots of important collab tracks with artists such as Corrado Rossi, Queenie, Lisa & KMP, Andrea Ferroni, DCallen, Gamma Leonis, Trulala and Scott Hill and a short novel written by Duilio Chiarle (based on the CD concept, in italian) and illustrated by the great Spectrum Artist 2006 Daniele Scerra.

Before let you go...
The band decided to give 50% of the money raised (out of expenses) from the CD sales will be donated to "Partners in Health". The PIH Vision: At its root, their mission is both medical and moral. It is based on solidarity, rather than charity alone. When a person in Peru, or Siberia, or rural Haiti falls ill, PIH uses all of the means at their disposal to make them well—from pressuring drug manufacturers, to lobbying policy makers, to providing medical care and social services. Whatever it takes. On internet: http://www.pih.org
We hope you'd enjoy TWM music!

ITALIANO:

Voci narranti:
Inglese: John Worsley (Fall of an ancient town) e "Lonesome " Dave Long (Alchemist and Inquisitor). Italiano: Augusto Chiarle (entrambi i racconti).

Qualunque cosa richieda. Su internet: http://www.pih.org

Great Voice-Over And Interesting Music Track
author: PsychTroub, Moberly, Missouri
This song ("Alchemist and the Inquisitor") succeeds for a couple of reasons: 1)The music backing is a really good New Age type of song: lush synths, watery-sounding samples, brushed cymbals, and jazzy-sounding piano runs. Overall, a great piece of work. 2)The voice-over work is very well produced, with a very clear, professional tone. The male vocalist has a great tone and his phrasing is first rate. 3)Interesting set of lyrics about alchemy and its history. Amazingly, the track (which runs over 20 minutes) doesn't drag at all. The outro is also very interesting, suddenly rising in the mix: driving drums and a nice dub-like guitar chordal riff, with a good fadeout featuring sustained synth chords. Good effort. Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Programming, Lyrics.

Worthy Of An Award - Great Piece Of Spoken Word Production
author: sirgiant from Belleview, Florida
Very professional. This is well written and the speaker delivering this piece is a talented and articulate orator. Very gifted. The synths lifting this up gently in the background serve this piece very effectively. Your placement of musical elements and sound effects in order to illustrate the story being told are excellent! The story, the delivery, and the musical composition accompanying this make it a pleasure to listen to. Very entertaining and wonderfully produced. Nothing needs to be changed here, at all! Clearly a five star performance.

Wow.
author: AwkWurdSylence from Birmingham, Alabama
What an incredible story. So sad, yes, but very reflective on things going on today in modern times. Destroying the lives of innocent people, robbing them of their culture, because we can and we want to--it's happening all over the globe. But still, context aside, this was an inspiring story! I'd thought about doing something like this, a story with music in the background, but I'm no good at telling stories. But you! A perfect voice for storytelling. Low and a bit scratchy--so familiar, not robotic or sappy to any extent, just like you were recounting your own experience to a group of friends, or children, sitting around a table. This was the first review I've written, I think EVER, where I didn't type till it was completely over. The music was an excellent touch, and I noticed that you weren't stuck to one genre, by ANY means. I heard elements of classical, jazz, electronic, the music was everywhere yet still fit perfectly. This was an EXCELLENT song to review--I want to hear more from this artist!
