Album Notes

Twohawks newest release “CHANGES” pushes the boundaries of Native American flute music with his unique, unmistakable, style.
The wonderful flute music of Twohawks takes the listener on a deeply comforting journey of spirit that transports you to another time and place. Twohawks and Ancient Fire have brought a variety of world instruments together on this album that give it a style and sound all its own. Charlie Myers plays the Australian didgeridoo as well as the African Djembe as Twohawks warms things up with a variety of Native American Flutes. Twohawks also plays the Gourd rattle, Tibetan Singing bowls the Wolf Howler or Bull Roarer along with the Eagle Bone whistle and the haunting sound of the death whistle creating a mystical feel to the album. Brad Larpenter brings the Irish flutes to the C/D, Stacie LaCour with her beautiful voice, Harold Cowart playing the piano and Paul Kauk on the keyboard round out this very nicely done C/D.

The title track “CHANGES” was written for the album by Twohawks and the music was a collaboration of Twohawks and Harold Cowart. The song was written for Stacie Lacour to perform on the album and she does so in a manner that touches your heart and charges the listener to make some changes in their lives in order to save our Earth Mother.

Stacie is also featured on track 10 where she sings a wonderful rendition of Amazing Grace in both English and Muscogee. (The Muscogee words were taken from the 1989 United Methodist Hymnal marked as Creek (Nashville, Tenn.: United Methodist Publishing House.)
Beautifully done this song features Brad Larpenter playing the Irish Pennywhistle as well as Twohawks with the Native American Flute. These two flutes along with the vocal of Ms. LaCour make this a very touching and emotional presentation of this timeless song.

The C/D consist of 14 tracks of contemporary and traditional music that will keep you glued to your seat for a little over an hour.

Love this music. It opens both the heart and soothes the soul. I have both CD's and make them available to my clients and patients as well. Often Twohawks music is requested for he healing sessions. Each CD takes the listener on an enchanted journey into the heart of the flute, and the rythemic delight of the drum. The added element of the Australian Didgeridoo, played by Charlie Crow Dog Myers is so unexpected and blends powerfully and eloquently with Twohawks creation of " All MY RELATIONS" THAT is my Most favorite song. Thank you Twohawks for the Blessing andhonor of your music and your friendship. Warmly White Deer

When I first listened to this CD I wasnt sure I liked it. So I listened again and then again and began to understand what "Changes" meant. I looked at the cover and wondered about it. Its not the same old type of usual Native American flute music. Its different but yet there is still that familiar haunting sound of the Native American flute. After a few times around the block with the CD I came to understand what Twohawks meant by Changes. I love this CD and once you get it you realize just how wonderful it really is. It is a very warm and emotional bit of music. Thank you Twohawks for touching my spirit.
