Whimsical by design, technical by nature, Two Headed Spy sounds like a stuffed animal that will rip your head off.

Based in San Francisco, each band member originates from a different area of Northern California. Their influences include Queens of the Stone Age, Mr. Bungle, The Mars Volta, The Jesus Lizard, System of a Down, Soundgarden and Tool. The music can shift from heavy, towering overtones to calm, delicate notes, or tight, energy filled measures that can be complex and unpredictable.

Two Headed Spy (2HS) formed late 2005. The lineup was finalized in 2006 with Matt Jarrell on bass, Troy Arajas on drums, Trenton Temple singing and rhythm guitar, and Justin Roberts on lead guitar and percussion. The group played their first show spring of 2007 in San Francisco. 2HS continued to play regularly before they went into the studio early 2008. They are currently playing all over California in support of their EP Chicken Fat Axe.
