Album Notes

Afro-pop duo TwoManTing were formed in 2004, when Sierra Leonean master-drummer Jah-man Aggrey and virtuoso guitarist Jon Lewis were playing together in UK dance band Le Cod Afrique.

The duo immediately became a hit on the UK festival circuit with their blend of bouncy Afro-pop, jazz and reggae. Using live guitar and percussion loops, the duo manage to create a full band sound and a highly danceable mix. Their reputation has earned them support slots for major African artists such as Tinariwen and Muntu Valdo.

The new album "Legacy" captures the spirit of the live shows with its mix of melodic guitar lines, high energy rhythms and Griot words of wisdom. Beautiful music blended with thoughtful (and thought provoking) lyrics with subjects ranging from childhood memories to hard-hitting political protest to the just plain silly. Music played from the heart.
