A Blues artist who transcends the stereotypical categorization of Blues. What sets him apart is his unique view of the world we live in. As all great Blues artists are, Eric is a storyteller whose slant on life gives his music a wonderful twist.-DukeR

---CADENCE MAGAZINE
“Two Scoops pounds the piano and growls and shouts in the spirit of giants like Amos Milburn, Professor Longhair and Louis Jordan.”
---BLUES & RHYTHM – THE GOSPEL TRUTH (UK)
Eric “Two Scoops” Moore was born in 1958 and grew up making music and art in Boston. For six years, Eric played piano with Luther “Guitar Junior” Johnson at blues clubs and festivals all over the world. In January 1995, his travels took him on the Ultimate Rhthym and Blues Cruise where I was a passenger, then a month later to the Backstage in Seattle. It happened to be Valentine’s Day and he proposed to me on the spot!
Since our 2/14/96 wedding at the House of Blues in Cambridge MA, Eric has been based in West Seattle, leading his own band TWO SCOOPS COMBO! He has released five critically acclaimed CDs – Big Buffet, Clean Plate, Hungry!, Music Café and BIG BUFFET Combo Platter. The Washington Blues Society has honored him with six awards for piano playing and songwriting. Eric’s songs are included on both of the NPR program CAR TALK’s music compilation discs. Grammy Nominee and winner of many W.C. Handy Awards, Duke Robillard, covered Eric’s song “Left Handed”. Duke also produced and played on Music Café.
Eric is a survivor of the “flesh-eating disease”, so he is especially happy to be alive. I was diagnosed with MS shortly before we got married and Eric writes humorous songs to cheer me up. We hope they make people smile enough to take them home.
