Album Notes

FEATHER RECORDING ARTIST BIO
Lauren Passarelli's insatiable desire for guitar started when she was four years old and wanted to be a Beatle. Now a professor at Berklee College of Music she is known as one of the most distinctive guitarists in Boston, recognized as a great guitarist by such notables as Pat Metheny. Lauren's orchestrated guitar parts incorporate more than just rhythm or lead guitar playing. Audibly there is a rare combination of both simultaneously harmonically rich, melodically memorable and rhythmically alive.

She hooked up with producer & arranger Cindy Brown whose writing and impressionistic textures add a sophisticated edge to the songs. Lyrically their songs reflect great depth of thought and emotion. Together they define the sound of their art/rock band, Two Tru ® - a compelling combination of influences resulting in an original stamp on songwriting with signature guitar & keyboard arrangements that are as memorable as the songs themselves.

Two Tru's debut album, Among The Ruins received great national & international reviews and was named one of the most unique inde albums from the U.S. on European Radio.

Lauren is on the Artist rosters and endorsed by such companies as Martin, Fender, Washburn, Guild, Danelectro, Hofner & Yamaha, Crowley & Tripp, Avantone, ADK, ADA Amplification, Electro Voice, Joe Meek, Vox, Marshall, Rane, Sennheiser, DR Handmade Strings, D'Addario, Rane, Tech 21, Groove Tubes & Studiomaster. She was chosen by ART (Applied Research & Technology) as their debut Artist of the month.

Guest Musicians: Leni Stern- loop, Thaddeus Hogarth- chromatic harmonica, Sandra Kott- violin, Kim Rullo, Mark Kohler, Arron Bailey & John Mettam-drums, Jeff Song- bass & cello, Sarah Burrill- bk vocs.

Songs of Note:

Shadow Language features the songs My Norwegian Friend, a hats off love & thank you to the Beatles, Tomorrow's Touch, a delicate arrangement kindred to James Taylor & Rhythms of the Sun inspired by author Natalie Goldberg & her Zen teacher Katagiri Roshi's message, "Don't Be Tossed Away".

Whether the live show features Lauren in a guitar & vocal performance or Lauren backed by a full band, Two Tru entertains & enlightens. Check out Lauren's instrumental guitar album, Back To The Bone also on Feather Records. Plus many new digital singles.

I love Shadow Language ok? It's flaaaaaawless in my opinion with great writing & performances & I'm so damn impressed that it's self engineered & produced, arranged & mixed. There are so few who can do so much so well musically, Passarelli you rock, don't forget it. Listen to this music. Buy it. Listen again & again. Grok the good stuff. There now you know this CD is different. Tell yer friends. Tell yer boss.

Something special here

Two Tru has IT. There's something so special here. It's hard to describe because every web site of every band & every review says they're unique & special & different & speak quality or have something to say when they often don't. The blatant rip off non original pablum dribble that everybody & his brother writes & records with garage band prints a CD these days is NOT ON THIS CD. This is real music. You should hear the difference. Real musicians with real instruments who can really play really make better music. This is quite the find. I'm glad I found it & own it & I'm telling all of you about it. Now what are you gonna do? Get one. get shadow langauge digitally if you prefer. You need to hear something real once in awhile. Stick this in your ipod. The headphone mixes are pleasure enough. Thanks Two Tru.

I love this disc cuz it's about real stuff. Lauren's one of my favorite guitar players & she just plays great. She doesn't play to impress but shi_ if you watch her you tube performances she's impressive as hell! How does she do that? It looks so damn easy & sounds so damn great. These songs say so much. This cd moves me. the real deal here. no filler no wanking no BS. She's a sophisticated guitar charmer.
