Tycey , the voice behind the music. Tycey has been a part of the music industry for over 23 years. She has traveled throughout the United States performing and acting.
Crowned Hal Jackson Talented Teen, Miss Black Teenage World, three time first prize winner at the Apollo Theater, lead roles in off Broadway plays, “Harlem Comes Broadway”, Curtis Farrow's “Arms Too Short to Box with God”, along with Sissy Houston and Melba Moore and “Loving Him is Killing Me” with Carl Payne.
In the early part of life, as a teenager, Tycey faced many challenges. Although, there were numerous crowns and trophies to label how talented she was, the industry did not welcome with open arms a young talented Gospel artist. Discouraging as it sounds the journey continued and life moved forward.
Her experience with bad management, let down by record labels, and other obstacles, the idea of becoming an artist was slim. The passion of singing and ministering God’s word was very present and dear to her heart. She participated in the choir at her church continuing to lead and direct songs. Despite the frustration, hurt, and disappointment this was rewarding for her.
With everything that she has faced in her life, there were many blessings, miracles, overflow of love, grace and mercy. From this, developed a story. An out pour of words that were never written, emotions that were buried and music that was never heard nor had a beat to. The first words GOD spoke to her were How Excellent, and thus the story begins.
