Ty says...“...When I lived in Paris I would walk through the Luxembourg Gardens, lost in the suspended luminescence of those long summer evenings and I will never forget the dreamlike stillness as the light slowly faded, row upon row of slender trees with old wooden folding chairs and the occasional flaking green wrought iron bench dotted beneath canopy of leaves. It can’t have changed very much since the 1900’s. I think I am drawn to revisiting that sort of moment through my music.”And that is what you will hear on ‘Dusk in the Luxembourg Gardens’, composer and pianist Ty Jeffries’ first compilation of original solo piano works. haunting, cinematic pieces that you feel you know already as they tap in to the half remembered musical score of your own imagination.Ty spent some of his formative years growing up in Hollywood where his father was making movies with people such as Alfred Hitchock and was encouraged in his composing at a very young age by Hollywood royalty, screen legend Fred Astaire and composer Elmer Bernstien.Ty was educated at the Purcell School of Music in London and was discovered playing at a party and mentored by Oscar wimning composer Vangelis.Signed as a composer and lyricist to Elton John's 'Rocket Music' Ty has continued to perform and record his particular brand of hauting solo piano music and there are two more CDs in the pipeline.
