Album Notes

Uberband bills itself as the most egotistical band the world has ever known. They are men built for battling dragons, gnawing at the Christian Right's crutches, and harvesting parsnips. Their premier full-length release "Live in Poland" captures the band during their 2008 European tour in all its live insanity and grandiosity. The music is equal parts social satire and instrumental virtuosity. Fueled by too much coffee and a disdain for convention, this album is the truest representation of Uberband's legendary performances that have recently been all the buzz in Europe. If you're a fan of Mr. Bungle, Frank Zappa, Devo, or any other act that has smirked at the status quo and entered the ring wielding sceptres of greasepaint and fire, feast your ears upon the jaw-dropping greatness that is Uberband. They are truly The Greatest Rock Band Ever(tm).

If you're a Mr. Bungle or Zappa fan you will absolutely LOVE this CD. I had never heard of these guys before but hopefully their name will get out there soon. Incredible band, technically phenomenal with biting sarcasm and humor; there's not a boring second on this thing. It's nice to hear stuff like this is being made, and the cool thing about it is that somehow they lay great hooks on these complex songs and leave you singing the damn things in your head all day long. Highly, highly, highly recommended.

Epic-Awesomeness, They Name is Uberband!

Words will not do this band justice, but maybe food similes and metaphors will help convey the idea. The music simply has to be heard in order to fully comprehend the sheer magnitude of awesome-sauce Uberband ladles onto every song on this album. Like a dish of delectable fettuccine alfredo pasta, the grooves are supple, yet firm, tossed with generous amount of buttery, mellifluous melody. And the lyrics complement the music like a glass of fine, oak-barrel aged wine.
