Back in his native country (Israel), Udi had an active musical life; he started playing with a hard rock band in 1994 and had a huge success with the local scene and some recognition in Eastern Europe countries. He also participated as a sideman with the local artists and managed to build a reputation in the rock and the jazz scene as well.
But as an ambitious and motivated artist he always wants to reach for a higher level and therefore he calibrate with EL productions, and started to work on his own original smooth jazz project. A year later Udi moved to Vancouver Canada knowing that the smooth jazz scene in America is much more developed and the audience can truly appreciate his compositions and playing style.EL productions worked hard and send Udi’s demo CD to some record labels and management companies. Udi signed a contract with Horizon management which located in New York State, during the years 2003-2005. Horizon management arranged some shows in Vancouver Canada.
Short time after, Quinn record label which located in St. louis showed interest in releasing Udi’s music, but unfortunately Quinn were lack of resources and EL productions realized that it is not the right “home” for Udi’s music.
At the present time Udi relocated to New York and released his debut CD . leading his smooth jazz project and performing as a sideman with several artists.

Even though the title is Smootha Jazz you will find more then that.
Great compostions and each and every one is uniqe on his own.
Really liked "As simple as that" (I've heard from music cable channle )
But when I've heard the CD it has plenty of other dimensions from funk "Funktion" to fusion "44th av" "just say it"
and everything in between.
Great one

Absolutely delightful
author: I.Cem
One of the best smooth jazz albums of 2008, Udi's "Tales" are telling an urban funk story. His command of the language of his guitar is most admirable and helps him conjure the sentiments of a lifetime dedicated to music. It makes me feel excited about what is there to come after his first. This album is a promise of delicious moments both on and off the tracks. Well done Udi, thank you.
