Album Notes

The Rodeo Rocks Again!

This is the third release from Singing ABC, and the second from Uncle Ed's Rocking Rodeo.

In our first recording, The Rodeo wrote rock tunes that taught phonics rules. From initial consonants to short and long vowels, Phonics Rock presents fun ways to remember the basics.

Now, on Grammar Grooves, we have songs that help kids (especially TESL and TEFL students!) practice common grammar patterns. The songs range from rock and blues, to reggae (and, even, disco!). The instruments include the upright double bass, ukulele and slide whistles.

The songs are all written by experienced TEFL and TESL teachers and performed by a diverse group of singers and musicians.

Kids will love the rocking tunes and fun melodies, teachers and parents will be amazed about how easy music can make language learning.

History:
"Uncle" Ed Eibel and "Sheriff" Scott Garbus, both English teachers in Taipei, Taiwan, began writing and recording songs for kids. The result of these recordings: Phonics Rock.

Since then, The Rocking Rodeo produced a TV Pilot (Wild Wild Ed and the Rocking Rodeo), a CD for a language school in Taipei (WOW Sings), have given lectures and seminars at book fairs and publisher events including the E.T.A. event in Taipei, created animated clips and training videos (available on the SingingABC.com website!) and given live performances. This summer, Ed even appeared by himself on Beautiful Life TV's Avant Garde program, singing songs and playing the ukulele.

With Grammar Grooves, the group produced some of their best songs yet! It is a useful education tool for the classroom and at home, as well as being a lot of fun for kids of all ages.
