Album Notes

This, the debut CD for UFOMike, was written during the fall of 2006 and mainly features 80s-influenced pop grooves. Radiation from Russia was written about the Radiation Poisoning death of a former russian spy. Cold Blood was inspired by the killing of a preacher by his wife. Straight Jacket was inspired by the movie The Jacket, while Taste of Psychosis is almost a Pink Floyd-ish song tuned to the lower frequencies of the brain.

Aside from that, they are all light-hearted (and even comical!) pop songs. Take Ukrainian Girls, for instance. Songs have been written about all kinds of girls, but I have never heard one about Ukrainian Girls! They had one coming. View from Uranus is one song title that can invoke some interesting comments. Sassafras, Wake up with a Smile, The Mexican, Marmalade and the remaining tracks are all light-hearted pop songs that most anyone can enjoy... and the album makes great music for long roadtrips or even short commutes. Put it on while sitting in traffic and it will help to get you through it with a smile! :-)

Great driving music... Love it!

I really enjoy this music when I am commuting back forth to work. I have never been much of a fan of Techno type music, but this album is opening my eyes and making me think twice. Thanks
