"arcade days" was inspired by the late 70's and early 80's. "downhill chaser," "easy to fool R.F.," and "the switch off" were inspired by the three's company episodes: "double trouble" (season 5), "the bake off" (season 3), and "downhill chaser" (season 5).
peter played drums, synths, guitar and sang.
chris played juno 60, moog source, minimoog, mellotron and other synths.
trevor dickson sang backup vocals on "downhill chaser."

I really, really love this album, such great psychedelic rock with so much synths! Fantastic! This is the perfect album to mentally fly away to the outerspace...
After years looking for it, I finally got it and wow! It's exactly what I hoped. All I can say is that Umber Sleeping, you are doing great music, keep up going guys!!!

Ah yes.. something you can sink your teeth into. None of that bubbly, melodramatic pop stuff, overflowing with "heart on my sleeve" affectations. These guys do some real, straight-up magic with a mix of psychedelic rock, progressive rock, tripped-out 70's influences, including jazz, among other less obvious genres and styles. They offer up some stylistic credit to Genesis, Weather Report and Stereolab but there's something quite unique going on here, regardless of the pleasantly familiar threads. Perhaps they put it best calling it, "Psychedelic Sci-Fi New Wave Fusion." Just check it out.
