The UnBande is a new collaboration from Los Angeles whose unlikely instrumentation and unexpected stylistic forays make it undeniably unique in the string music universe. Two violas and the Chapman Stick...un-violins and the un-guitar. Crazy classical crossover, rockin’ pop, swingin’ jazz, fusion jazz, original compositions, and wild improvisation. Fun, fun, fun.
Featuring 11 year veteran of the Turtle Island String Quartet, Danny Seidenberg, Novi Novog of Doobie Brothers and Prince fame, and the incomparable Larry Tuttle (Freeway Philharmonic, String Planet) wielding the Stick.
It's a delicious light-hearted concoction that explores in depth the concept of “What If?”and “Why Not”

I purchased the album and have been playing it often since. It reminds me of Stephan Grapelli and his violin magic. The sounds of the viola and the style is so refreshing and inviting. And to think that 2 violinsts and 1 guitar can make all that beutiful sound. My favorites are #1, #7, #9 and #10. And of course the rest. PS
