Anthony Milas grew up in the 80's listening to instrumental electronic & sample-based music, as a way to feel more "at home" in what felt to him like an alien world.

Unbreakable Foundation's "S" was programmed, performed, mixed and mastered by Anthony in his New Zealand home studio, which at the time consisted of only an 18 year-old midi keyboard, a computer, a single piece of software (Propellerheads Reason) and a pair of reference monitors. Before Reason appeared, Anthony had built up a traditional recording studio around a 24 channel mixing desk, an Akai hard disk recorder and various synths and outboard gear, much of which was sold when he got hold of Reason, and realised software was rendering such setups obsolete.

The album is called "S" because all the track names begin with that letter - something that happened initially by chance before it was decided to rename a couple of tracks to make the pattern consistent across the album.

The cover image is an oil-painting of Anthony's partner, who when posing for artists often listens to an iPod (unobtrusively pinned in her hair), to make sitting in the same position for several hours more endurable. Sydney-based artist Diane Hoath painted this profile of Hannah over six weeks, and in a not-so-typical move, painted in her iPod headphones as well.

Anthony is currently working on a number of musical projects, some of which you may hear, see and possibly touch and feel soon.
