ever been ... so tired, you wouldn't even want to masturbate?
author: Che' Albert, Bangsheet
As I drove down the highway, the soothing sound of Uncle Carl's CD of the same name was the perfect accompaniment. Their mellow, easy sound was smooth like a martini that had just passed near the vermouth. With songs like, "I'm too tired to masturbate," put you in a place where you can almost scoff at the hysteria of the outside world. Everyone just slows right the fuck down. If I closed my eyes, I could see myself in some Brooklyn nightclub smoking a menthol and savoring the mellow jazz. That's the time to listen to Uncle Carl. When you're so down, you don't want to answer the phone or turn on the television or know there is another soul around. Their mellow and hip lyrics will say to you, yes brother, I understand. Their sensual lyrics from songs like "Peek-A-Boo" and "Daffodil" will make you almost giggle they're so damn naughty.

Everyone's weird uncle is here
author: Gunther G., The Global Muse
This is truly a unique band. That weird uncle that everyone has is here and he's a little stranger than when you last saw him. Some of the lyrics are just absolutely hilarious. This is some truly original song writing place over some bluesy/jazz music. I totally love this band. Every song is a masterpiece in it's own right. The song writing style makes you hang on to every word, because you never know what to expect. The song "I'm Too Tired" just took me by suprise and then cracked me up. This is music that is well worth checking out, and not just because it's strange, but because it's good music. The smooth bluesy jazz groove is simply excellent and the earthy tone of Carl Vreeland will keep you coming back for more.
