Uncle Eye (aka Uncle EYEra), is the Willy Wonka of children's music, inspiring riots of elation from California to Scotland. Raised by Mary Poppins on the Yellow Submarine, expect the unusual from this living animated cartoon of a man. Often seen with Wilber Rupert Rufus Gonzalez Martinez Allegro, the Rubber Chicken of Freedom, Uncle Eye is constantly figuring out new ways to battle his arch enemy Baron Boredom.
Uncle Eye can be found on his debut CD-
Hippo on my Head and Other Madcap Adventures,
in unexpected spots on the map, as well as public places too. He is now presenting a new show to follow up his one man interactive adventure in which, among other things, he dances with plants, parties with penguins and sings his way out of a can of Spam.
The new show takes place in The Invisible Beard: Novelty and Fake Hair Emporium.
"Uncle Eye sings wonderful original and very funny songs for kids and their parents and grandparents. He is a great musician, a great comic in timing, and a lovely person relating magically to the the kids." -Georg Oram/ Julia Morgan Theater-Berkeley
"We were definitely inspired by Uncle Eye's "Green Songs" and wonderful enthusiasm! - Kelly Huber/ Earth Day 2000
"A hilarious performance of interactive fun for the entire family." -Berkeley Voice
"Uncle Eye is a game performer...He cheerfully sang original tunes that made reference to such topics as Time-outs, baby sitters, M&M's, pizza, and tummy aches."
-The Oakland Tribune
"Hippo on my Head and Other Madcap Adventures: containing 22 singable stories that raise questions about sunscreen, and the necessity of minding your manners when served a bowl of stinky ice-cream." - Hills Newspapers.
"Definitely not for naptime...it's all lively and aimed at the 3 to 10 year old set." - Parent's Press
"My Children love it. They play it loud in the shower so they can sing along." -Mrs. Troost/Berkeley mom
"I love it! The rhyme and rhythm are so good; so HAPPY.
My grandson and I often put it on. It's delightful."
- Mrs. Roberts/South Carolina/ Grandmother

Uncle Eye is a favorite in our house. All of his CDs, whether geared toward kids or adults, are great for the whole family. We play this CD, as well as Hyperactive Talking Cows and The Sultan of Time every day in our house! Very uplifting music that is fun, sweet, wistful, funny, thoughtful, zany and clever. And, perhaps most importantly, sounds great!

Three Cheers for Hippo on My Head!!!

Our whole family dances to this CD together. The kids sing it to themselves, even when they're playing outside. They relate to the the lyrics and enjoy the humor. One of them was even so inspired, that she wrote her own song; now that's a gift! I love the Green message too.
