In February of 2011 I ran into Ben Dennis at a print shop. He had written a poem dedicated to the memory of Appalachian coal mining activist Judy Bonds (1952-2011) who, born into a coal-mining family, fought tirelessly to end mountaintop removal coal mining. "Look Beyond Coal" is the fruit of our combined efforts.
Proceeds from the sale of this song will benefit Coal Free Washington and The Sierra Club.
