notes
Passion comes in many forms, be it art, music, or poetry, and for the Atlanta-based quartet known as UNCROWNED, passion comes alive through the talents & visions of front man Stephen Bazzell, guitarist / backing vocalist Jack Andrad, bassist Stuart Clark, and drummer Scott Sellers.
Since exploding into the scene in March 2002, UNCROWNED, whose influences range from Stone Temple Pilots to Incubus, Linkin Park, and Rage Against The Machine, has molded their own distinct brand of rock that they have self-titled "Modern Edge."
From the emotional impact of their new 3 song demo(2004-Produced by Rusty Cobb- Default, SevenDust, Simple Plan, Avril Lavigne, Injected and John Briglevich- SevenDust, Edwin McCain, DoubleDrive, 3rd Day, Stuck Mojo), UNCROWNED reveals their penchant for crafting infectious & diverse songs that also retain the sincerity & resourcefulness of the group.
Despite the youthfulness of the band, UNCROWNED has already accumulated a number of impressive accomplishments that belies the Independent status of the group:
* UNCROWNED are only the second
independent band in the history of Hard Rock Cafe to have an instrument added to the HRC permanent memorabilia collection.
* Chosen Winners of the Cabo Wabo, Hard Rock Cafe "A Shot at the Cabo Wabo" 2004 competition by Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony and Irving Azoff.
* UNCROWNED Landed 3 spots and 2 live performance tapings on the nationally syndicated TV show "Blind Date" Airing in 2005.
* UNCROWNED was chosen by CMJ and Dick Clark as one of the 10 hottest unsigned bands in the country in "The American Music Awards" 2003.
* Performed at 2002 & 2003 Music Midtown on the 99X Main Stage (Incubus, Stone Temple Pilots, Bush, Hoobastank, No Doubt, Puddle Of Mudd)
* Performed at the 2002, 2003, 2004 Atlantis Music Conference.
* Performed at the Atlanta Date of the Van's Warped tour in 2002 & 2004
* Featured in the 2002 99Xmas CD compilation including Butch Walker, Shawn Mullins Angie Aparo and more.
* "Queen of New York" is played on full rotation on XM Radio channel 52.
* "Queen of New York" was featured as opening song for the Emmy award- winning TV program Inside the NBA on TNT.
Regardless of achievements, UNCROWNED is a band focused on creating great music that is not only an homage to the bands that inspired them, but in turn, will hopefully become an inspiration to bands of future generations. In the meantime, UNCROWNED will continue to stay true to them selves, writing music that comes straight from the heart and will stimulate the mind, body, and soul...

CD ROCKS ! Even Better Live !!
author: Judson GarlandGreat CD, All around these guys are TIGHT. Killer guitar licks, Vocals have enough hard edge to keep your attention but thankfully stay short of the DeathMetal Screaming Match vocals of some bands.
Nothing simple and sick about this band.
author: madmattThe CD itself does not do this band justice, the band is 20 times better in person, but the CD is one of the best CDs I have bought in the last couple years.
This band rocks!!!
author: SmileyMikeGreat CD!!! I saw them live on the locals only stage at Music Midtown in Atl. a few years ago and have been hooked since. These guys are awesome musicians. You can put the cd in and let it play all the way through b/c every song is good!!!!
Great band! I love underground/undiscovered bands!
author: HollyThese guys rock! "Lying In Wait" has to be my favorite song by them and it gets stuck in my head all the time. I hope they get signed to a label that won't make them change, they don't need to!!
Love this band and CD.
author: jerrell goodpasterI saw Uncrowned for the first time March 18, 2006 in Lexington KY and got this CD at the show. It hasn't left my cd player since. It's catchy like Disturbed, but with more variety. Buy the cd and catch the band live.

One great CD! Been in my CD player since I received it.
author: The FishThis CD is fantastic. (One thing I'm not crazy about I guess is the extra stuff in between the real songs. Those won't be added on my iPod.) But anyway, there are tons of catchy melodies and hooks to keep me coming back. Parts are heavy and mellow and have a great hard rock meets metal edge. Great job guys....!!!!
Fuckin' SA Weeet!
author: NanThis CD is as intense as seeing the Band Live!! I would definately recomend this to anyone. Fuckin Fabulous boys!!
The first time I heard Simple Sick Device
author: Carl O'Hoolihan, Wolverhampton, EnglandWell the 1st time I heard Simple Sick Device it was actually a bad ass band back in 2001 based in Atlanta, GA. The singer from that band was bloody amazing, and is still writing. Check him out at www.shawnzuzek.com and have your face peeled off!
This CD Kicks Bizutt!
author: Ken MarquardtI cannot stop listening to it... I have it on my mp3 player, in my car, on my computer.... These guys just f'in rock...

author: Joe TerrazasOne of the best CDs I have heard in a long time.
Kick Ass
author: MickOne of the most bad ass CDs I've heard in a long time!
only about 12 true tracks but good CD
author: ChipHaving seen this band live a couple of times in my area I already knew I'd like this CD. I was surprised to read that there are 22 tracks so I was very excited. However, it turns out that nearly every odd-numbered track is only about 30 seconds long, and either plays into the next track or is played into by the previous track. Best songs in my opinion are Simple Sick Device and You Deny. Also, some of the tracks seem to be recorded in lower quality than other tracks, especially the last two or three, but not unbearably so. Overall it's a good CD, the actual songs themselves are great and very enjoyable.
