This album stretches across the genres of hip-hop, breakbeats, and drum n' bass, with the unique flavor of the best new producer in the American electronic scene. From the heartfelt lyrics of "Influence" to the energetic beats of "Techture," this album bends the rules of modern music. With this album, Underground Chuck has moved a step away from his roots of aggressive jungle music to propose an alternative to the head-banging electronica of modern clubs and DJ's. While still retaining an impressive edge, the CD seems to drive home the real idea of his conception of music: expression.
Underground Chuck is 21 years old, and lives and produces music near Boulder, Colorado. During the summer he travels and performs with the "Kickin Access Tour," a fundraising tour for the Access Fund (an outdoor-advocacy group) that in summer 2001 raised over $30,000 for the group. Chuck is also a sponsored rock climber, and enjoys traveling the world seeking
out taller and more difficult rocks to climb. He is a recording arts major at Colorado University at Denver, and plays a variety of instruments, including the theremin, the first electronic instrument in the world.
