Album Notes

Underwhelmed is an explosive 5 piece rock band with a knack for writing radio-friendly rock songs. Backed by energetic in-your-face performances and a new seven track EP called “The War Between Myself and Me”, Underwhelmed has established one of the fastest growing fan bases in the Tri-State area.
On the recommendation of Dean Kramer ( KOAR – kingsofar.com ) , Underwhelmed traveled to Strongsville, Ohio to record in Spider Studios with producer Thom Hazaert (Chimaira, Switched, Depswa, Stigma) and engineer Ben Schigel (Chimara, Switched, Drowning Pool, Breaking Point). The result is a tour de force of high octane guitar riffs and catchy hooks, backed by powerful drums and heart pumping bass.
Underwhelmed has opened for national acts such as Sponge, Lumidee, Thin Lizzy, Highway 9 and Diffuser. They have also been invited to play the main stage at the Locobazooka festival in Boston, along side such national acts as Saliva, Shinedowner, and Clutch, as well as the InterMIXX IMC 2004 festival in Philadelphia, PA, and the MMC (Mid-Atlantic Music Conference).
With lyrics based on self-revelation and deep rooted inner struggle, the music is seemingly loud and commanding without ever being pondering or overwrought. Underwhelmed’s strongest contribution is their dedication to putting on a great live performance. Lead singer Chris Amplo provides his audience with a captivating show, and often has them singing along with him. Together, powered by the twin’s s unforgettable rhythm section, underwhelmed delivers an extraordinary set of songs based on raw energy and an emotional exchange between the band and its audience.

This band has grown....
author: Gutter Twin...
After purchasing their first album in 2000 and seeing them live.. The difference between their live show and that album was huge. You can tell that this band has grown up a lot compared to their previous recording. With songs like Freak, Leave It All Behind and the eerie sounding Never Again.. they finally have been able to take their live sound and transfer that to the studio. If your looking for pure rock songs with emotion.. pick this EP up... and see them live.

AMAZING BAND!!!!
author: Greg Rich
Its possibly better than the first cd, although nothing compares to any bands first cd. The stage show is amazinng. They express a confidence rarely shown by people just trying to get where they need to go and have fun doing it. I STILL CANT BELIEVE A LABEL DID NOT SIGN THEM YET. They could actually bring rock back!!
