Album Notes

Former NYC Rocker Ken Evinger and DC FunkMaster George Belton formed Unit: E to explore sonic boundaries and bring it all back to the groove. They emerged with an incredibly diverse fusion of Rock, Funk, and Groove.

For their debut CD, Unit: E created an intense blend of musical style, infused with trace elements of Alternative, Go-Go, Blues, Jam, R&B, Soul, Progressive and more.

Each song is unique, loaded with passion and raw energy. The lyrics are provocative, the vocals are heartfelt and sexy, the bass lines are PHAT, the beats are groovin', the rhythms and melodies are contagious, and the overall vibe is refreshingly left of mainstream.

George Belton grew up in D.C. listening to Funk, R&B, Rock and Blues. A true FunkMaster on Bass, he also sings, plays keys, drums and percussion, and is an accomplished songwriter/arranger. He played bass in DC bands like FEEL and Sun Machine and did session work including the "Brand New" Salt N Pepa CD.

Ken Evinger first hit the DC scene as a versatile drummer for bands like Shoot the Messenger, SuperSwank, Deanna Dove and Blues Power, The Laura Shawen Band, Stranger Paradise, and countless others. When he wasn't lending his talents to other artists, Ken was turning DC on it's side with awesome original music, powerful, sexy vocals and tight, groovin' rhythm guitar.

Evinger and Belton now join forces with some of DC's finest talent to create an awesome live show with such an incredible variety of influences it'll make you make your head spin.
