With a running time of over seventy minutes Universal Reversal is a ten-track album, seven of which are freestyle improvisation. "Spontaneous music" which was created on the spot with no rehearsal or planning, sometimes not even a word spoken, just music. It features Joseph Wooten on keyboards, theremin, and more. An ten year veteran of "The Steve Miller Band", he can also be seen working with his younger brother Victor Wooten and playing with his own group "Joseph and the Hands Of Soul". Also featuring Squankidonk from "Squanky Kong" setting up the groove on six string bass with drummer Dwayne Taylor. Special guests include Don Latarski on guitar and Chris Dunkelberger (of Beard) on guitar. It's a collage of styles flowing in a raw stream of jams, scattered with surprising structure and precision.
Recorded Sept. 10 thru 14, 2001
Dedicated to "911" in honor of the victims; their memory is forever in the music.
