Until, born Luis Vargas in 1977, has been molding and perfecting his art since 1992. Then, only 14 years old, he would rap Eazy-E songs for friends that would request the performance. He quickly realized he could rap, and decided to write some raps of his own. He also realized he could make beats the first time he touched a keyboard. Heavily influenced by early 90's hip hop, he also grew to love east coast rap, like Wu-Tang, KRS-ONE, Nas, Gangstarr, and Erick Sermon. Although he grew up in a suburb city about 30 miles east of Los Angeles, he appreciated west & east coast hip hop equally. A troubled childhood led to rocky and rebellious teenage years. This carried on to his early 20's. He spent much of his time in neighboring cities that were not as hospitable as the one his single parent mother resided in, and raised her three kids. And though, Until is not proud of a certain period in his life, hip hop remained the single source of positive motivation and comfort throughout the troubled years. For this, Until feels he owes hip hop everything. He has crafted his art over the years, and now lives to protect the once widely beautiful art of hip hop. In a day where this has turned into just plain "rap", the business of selling out the culture to mainstream America. Until strives to revive the roots of the art-form that helped raise him. He stays disappointed because this change feeds all of teenage America right next to Christina Aguilera and Ashley Simpson. If Until can convince the original Hip Hop essence to return, remains to be seen.
