Album Notes

Founded in 1997, the MadHatters are the premier men's a cappella group at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. From the woodworks of the choral department, UW students Chris Yahng and Chad Musolf brought together a group of guys interested in acting like goofs, making good music, and giving something back to the community. "Not For Credit" is the group's third award winning studio album which was released at the group's sold out fall concert series shows December 7th and 8th at the Capitol Theater in Madison. The album was recorded after the group celebrated their ten year anniversary at a sold out Overture Center of 2,251 and has already gained national recognition as a 2008 Best of Collegiate A Cappella (BOCA) winner.

The title of this album represents the group's approach to every song, every performance, and every day. In the end, taking the stage in a red jacket is not about the praise or accolades, but instead about bringing happiness to others through music. This is the tradition of the MadHatters. This is Not For Credit.

Not for Credit

I've really loved these guys since I first went to one of their concerts. This is one of their best albums yet. Love the JT montage and I'll be. This album is way better than the last one and gets them back to their roots.
