Album Notes

A relentless head-bob Ludwig tempo and raw, overdriven guitars are the foundation of The Upskirts and the backdrop for depraved vocals and harmonies that defy easy description. It's pop, no doubt about it. Post-punk pissed and full of vinegar: The Upskirt's sound is tense and urgent. These troublemakers tell it like it is loud and clear with melodies that beg repeating. They craft smart, terse pop songs performed with an intensity rarely seen today.

Hailing from Seattle, Washington by way of London, England, this three piece power-pop outfit rolls the energy and essence of Supergrass and The Undertones together with the social observations and wit of The Kinks and Belle and Sebastian.

The Upskirts received critical acclaim, including airplay on KEXP, with their E.P. titled "High School Journal Keepers" (released on Big City Crime $yndicate Records).

The Upskirts are:
Brad Wright: Vocals, guitars
Dave Browne: Bass, vocals
Sheryl Lanham: Drums, vocals

"A pop band that does excite me is locals the Upskirts, who put out a CD EP entitled “ 'Tube Top Tease' fairly recently. The band has a tight catchy sound that has enough elements of ‘70s punk to draw me into their sticky web."
