Album Notes

When you look back on the music history and you take time to point on which albums have left a real seed growing thru the years, you then realize about some bands that even not being very well-known during their existence, have been very important for the next generations, which have paid tribute, giving them the credit they deserve.

URBANDUX is definitely one of those cases. A band made to last and to leave a deep feeling in eager listeners.

With such a long-experienced career, these skilled and hard working musicians have already left a piece of history in this album. Time will tell.

The Aftermath is one of those cases, yes, it´s that kind of album people will talk about during the next years. It doesn´t matter how many copies will sell now or how many magazines will cover it in the following months. Its a lasting piece of art, not only for the present time, but for the right listeners, who don´t look for the hit of the moment.

Basically, what you can find here are 13 amazing songs, which all together form an edgy and emotional trip.

A really mature and personal work, both musically and lyrically, with a deep and powerful sound, sharpened guitars, some electronic flashes and a river of soulful melodies that will not leave indiference in your hearts and ears.

A PUNCH OF PURE ENERGY

REVIEWS

Fantastic hard rock album full of an aggressive, powerful sound
author: Rodney and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team
“The Aftermath” is an impressive release from Swedish rockers Urbandux, showcasing their unique blend of modern rock and metal, with secondary elements of pop and progressive rock further enhancing their appeal. The band’s emotion, conviction, and dedication to their craft are evident from the first note. The entire album is characterized by an aggressive, powerful sound featuring spirited lead vocals, wonderful harmonies and melodies, thunderous guitar work, solid bass lines and pounding, inventive drumming. Notable tracks such as “Seltzer Water,” “Sitting Target” and “The Art Of Isolating” all feature their trademark hammering guitar riffs and hard-rocking sound. The title track “The Aftermath” is a definite highlight, with a captivating hook that is ready for mainstream rock radio. Although most of the songs feature blistering guitar work, the other instruments play a vital role in the group’s sound as well. Listen to the creative drumming on such tracks as “Dios ha Muerto” and “Bozo,” where percussive rhythmic colors are interspersed with heavy guitar lines and smooth vocals. The soulful, melodic “Miranda” provides a serene and relaxed feel, showcasing both their versatility and their ability to also shine with meaningful ballads. If you enjoy intelligently written, high-energy, fantastic heart-pounding modern rock, “The Aftermath” is for you.
