In live performance, Urban Nature bridges musical traditions and instruments from around the world with modern day looping technology, creating a sound that can swell from a two-piece duo to a ten-piece orchestra of musical textures, melodies and rhythms. Through combining instruments of ancient and sacred traditions with cutting edge technology, Urban Nature creates a show that is visually mesmerizing and sonically rich.

Urban Nature is a collaborative musical project that brings together cultures and traditions from around the world, educating and enriching the lives of people through music. UN offers experiential concerts, workshops, live music for Yoga, lessons, recordings, and sound healings.

We perform at a diverse selection of venues including festivals, concert halls, yoga studios, healing/retreat centers, destination resorts, hospitals, schools, and small theaters. Our goal is to use intentional sound and music to promote well being for individuals and create harmony in our communities.

Urban Nature, founded by Todd Boston and Ramesh Kannan, has produced and released a self entitled EP and are currently preparing for the release of a full-length album in 2008 titled Coming Home. UN represents a combined 40 years of education in various musical disciplines as well as 25 years of experience as performers and teachers of music. This foundation gives Urban Nature the capability to tailor a performance to meet the needs of each unique setting.
