Atlanta’s breed solo artist, Urhonda Dakota Smith, re-enters the arena of the entertainment industry after many years of training and growth. One of Atlanta’s elite talent during her teenage years as the former Apollo Atlanta’s reigning house singer that stole the audience with her self-authored and performed, “Will There Be”. Throughout Atlanta and the southern region of America, Dakota has been recognized as a talented songwriter and singer. While playing the piano she has stolen the hearts of many audiences with her captivating sound that grasps the heart of every listener. Dakota has sung background for many prominent artists in the gospel industry, such as The Legendary Daryl Coley, Marvin Sapp, Walt Whitman, Bruce Parham, Johnathan Alvarado, and others. From these experiences she has gained a wealth and knowledge of the music industry, but no knowledge can be compared to the Spiritual growth she has gained from her mentors and tutors the renown Apostle and Pastor, Johnathan and Toni Alvarado.

Dakota began her professional career in the music industry as a writer and has written songs for plays and gospel projects. She is the writer of one of Atlanta’s hottest praise and worship songs titled, “Rejoice” that has electrified the atmosphere of many churches across the world. This song is a praise and worship legend and has been inquired by the like of Hosanna Integrity. “Sweeter than Honey” is another of Dakota’s worship ballots and it is now being re-introduce through Take 6 on Chris Lewis latest project. Hearing and listening to the music ministry of Dakota, many lives and hearts have been changed. Now a portion of this effective talent has been captured on her debut’ “tringle” that has spread across the nation from Puerto Rico to Texas with the love song to God entitled, “Lord I Love You”.

Now teaming up with the legendary father of gospel music and most talented male soloist gospel artist to ever pick up a microphone, Daryl Coley, Dakota takes the scene of the gospel industry with her latest recording, “True Reality”. The CD is packed with gospel tunes for all music lovers and with a message that delivers, trains, and promotes all listeners for a better future now, in this poor economic time that our world is experiencing. “True Reality” delivers a beacon of light that the world needs to grasps and to be encouraged that things are not always like they seem.
