Album Notes
Valerie Giglio is a native of Boston and an up and coming vocalist performing throughout New England. Her style is reminiscent of Big Band vocalists of days gone by, and she adds her own special touch to new arrangements of timeless standards – with a presentation and flair that harkens the audience back to another era. Her CD, entitled “Songbook”, is a collaboration with Boston’s own legendary jazz man Al Vega. Vega has a style rarely duplicated and his talent is evident in his arrangements of the tracks contained in Giglio’s first release.

Giglio appears with the Al Vega Trio regularly on the Boston nightclub circuit.

Valerie Giglio songbook
Gorgeous. What a beautiful voice and the arrangements are great. I have been listening to her non-stop!

I absolutely love this CD, and so do my 6 & 7 year old girls. My personal favorites are Feeling Good, (very uplifting)
Bie Mir Bist Du Schoen, and Torna A Surriento. Valerie's voice is smooth, strong and emotes in a way that makes you feel like your sitting in a smoke fill speak easy in 1940. Something about her just rings true and transcends time.
Al Vega's arrangement is extraordinary; You just don't hear musicians like this anymore. A true gem.

What can I say, as soon as I received the cd I had to listen to it & haven't stopped. The songs bring back so many memories of when I grew up with my parents. Her voice is absolutely beautiful. I recommend to purchase this cd. Enjoy!!!

Come on Down
With snow blowing in New England it's time for you and Mark to come on down. There are some good clubs here that would love for you to perform for an extended run and SO WOULD I!!! Your voice has matured since I heard you sing at your wedding and I am a fan. Nice to inject some music genes into the family; it's about time.
