John Valerio aka JD Valerio is a breath of fresh air. He has written over 300 songs ranging in topics about: dreams, aliens, joy, faith, struggle, love, and relationships. Sometimes his stories include characters like Club Night Lou, a seagull, Mr. Sandman, and a guy called Mr. Cornbread Head.

The combination of guitar, voice, and lyrics make listening to Valerio a well rounded experience. John (JD) Valerio prefers venues such as coffee shops and small bars so that he can enjoy interacting with his audience. He says, "A smaller venue creates the intimacy I enjoy, I'd much rather play for 50 people than 5,000."

JD Valerio has spent over five years sharing his music in the Twin Cities of Minnesota and surrounding communities. He says, "Yeah, the atmosphere of a coffee shop a great place to play music, and the free coffee helps me make it through those long winters. Just give me a guitar and a cup of coffee and I am happy, even if it is 20 degrees below zero."
