Presenting Pop/R&B singer,Vanessa Thompson "Baby This Love"
“Baby This Love” is Vanessa’s first short album put out to have a sampling of her talent out there while Butterfly Music Productions worked on her full album “Vanessa”. This music has been very popular and especially the song “Where Angels Fly” with all ages.
Butterfly Music Productions has released Pop/R&B singer, Vanessa Thompson’s new album self-titled “Vanessa”. This album is very special to Vanessa because she writes and composes her own music, with the exception of a few songs that were written for her by her dad. She has put a lot of her heart and soul into this album, which shows not only in the quality of her music, but in her powerful voice. Vanessa’s music is enjoyed by all ages and genres because she was able to put together an album that not only showcases her voice, but speaks to people deeply with her words. This album was recorded at 57th Street Productions, by Scott Anderson, a very talented producer and released on April 24th 2008 along with downloads, which can be purchased in her online store at www.vanessathompson.net.
Vanessa was born in Washington State on July 30th 1985 with a song in her heart. Even her first sounds, as a baby, were music to her parent’s ears. As a very young girl she would sing and write songs. After she started school, she joined many different choirs, which often involved solo parts for Vanessa. In High School she also became well known for singing The National Anthem at many different events and venues.
Since then, Vanessa has come a long way with her music. In 2006 Butterfly Music Productions released her first album titled “Baby This Love”. She has also performed LIVE at many different locations around the Puget Sound. On September 13th 2007, she opened for The Beach Boys at The Tulalip Amphitheatre in Washington. The response was overwhelming. “Her powerful voice filled the amphitheatre with soul…” The Marysville Globe. She also performed the pre-game and the half-time show at The Key Arena for the Seattle Supersonics. They got such a great response from her, that they brought her back to sing The National Anthem (video of anthem can be found at www.youtube.com along with other LIVE performances). Vanessa has also performed The National Anthem for other sporting events including the Seattle Storm, the Everett Silvertips, and The Washington Huskies. Vanessa has been featured in several magazines as well as being on the cover, and getting worldwide recognition. Vanessa is also getting a lot of interest from local and national radio stations. Vanessa’s Music MySpace page www.myspace.com/musicbyvanessa is growing rapidly. In less than a year Vanessa’s fan base on MySpace has grown to more than 68,000 friends, and over 236,000 plays. Vanessa also has fan sites being created, designed and maintained for her by her fans. Her official fan site is at www.myspace.com/vanessathompsonmusic. She recently performed at The Shobox Sodo Theatre for The Underground Couture Fashion Show hosted by the Art Institute of Seattle, a major fashion event in the Pacific Northwest. She will soon be opening with a forty minute set for KC & The Sunshine Band at the Tulalip Amphitheatre. The support has been amazing, and continues to grow. For information on events, concerts or appearances by Vanessa, go to www.vanessathompson.net.
Vanessa also performed LIVE on KISS 106.1 FM, one of the top radio stations in Washington State. She was on The Jackie and Bender Morning Show on April 24th, the day of her CD release party, performing an acoustic version of her song “Why”. You can watch a video of the show online at www.youtube.com. Vanessa’s songs are being played in the rotation of an FM radio station in Alabama. She has also done several live interviews for them and they were very pleased with the interviews stating that these are some of the best interviews they have ever done.
Currently, Vanessa is working on her next album that will be a collaboration of a number of accomplished producers, song writers and industry professionals assembled to assist Butterfly Music Productions in developing Vanessa’s next level of achievement. We are also very excited to have as a partner in this project the incredibly talented and accomplished Mohamed Moretta who is very passionate about his work. Mohamed made the following statement about working with Vanessa: “I am truly honored to be a part of the Butterfly Music Team. Although I have worked with lots of famous artists over the years, my true passion is being a part of something big. Vanessa Thompson is not only an amazing vocalist but a gifted songwriter as well. All I have to do is hold on for the ride!” Another person who has been asked to participate in Vanessa’s new album is the accomplished Peter Rafelson of Rafelson Media Company. Peter has stated the following about Vanessa: “Rarely does a true artist come along who can deliver something that words cannot describe. With her voice, her soul and her heart, she is the package”. Peter Rafelson.
Vanessa is currently working on a music video for her song "Heartbreakin Game" with a new and up coming video company called Hatch Video Productions. This should be an awesome video. Stay tuned :)
