Album Notes

This is the second album of original music by renowned guitarist and teacher Vangelis Boudounis. Over twenty five years have passed since the first album of the same title was released (the title is borrowed from the legendary radio show which was broadcasted on the second program of Greek national radio).

The pieces presented here have been written over a span of thirty years often a long time apart from eachother so we are treated to a great variety of moods and musical styles.

The performers on the CD are some of Greece's top classical guitarists and most are also Boudounis' former students, such as Elena Papandreou, Maro Razi, Yorgos Mouloudakis, Haris Kanellidis, Kostas Kostantopoulos, Andreas Karakatsanis and the composer himself.

Boudounis' music is highly enjoyable- it showcases his deep knowledge of the classical guitar while also bringing forth jazz and rock influences as well as influences from Greek folk and traditional music.

This album was recorded at Studio Irida.
