Singer, songwriter, young, and beautiful are just a few words to describe this phenomenal talent by the name of Vanitra. She was born and raised in Montgomery, Al and has been singing and performing since the age of 5 years old. She began her career as a recording artist at the age of 16 when she recorded her first cover by Terry Ellis entitled "Wherever You Are". She later began songwriting and has worked with everyone from superproducer Kevin "Khao" Cates( T.I, Paul Wall, Trick Daddy, Ludacris, Chingy, Ruben Studdard, Snoop Dog), Big Kuntry from P$C(Grand Hustle), Lyndrea (sister of Venus and Serena Williams), and young talent from the Disney Channel. She has even been approached by Ruben Studdard for her unique and rare songwriting abilities. Now releasing her debut album entitled "Against All Odds", she has managed to executive produce and write the entire album. Vanitra is quoted by saying "this album is very personal to me and I made a conscious decision to share my experiences with the world. I write to inspire and to motivate, whether it be to get through heartbreak or to make you want to get up and go have a good time. I sing what I feel and I write what I know will in some way inspire others". Vanitra can stand up against any female artist in the music industry and has enough talent to go beyond the success of some of the biggest names in the industry.
