Down Here in Waupoos –

My name is Vasco da Silva and my latest CD offering features a mix of musical genres. I’m the owner of the Duke of Marysburgh Pub and Bistro in Waupoos where I perform at weekends during the summer, and where I’m locally known as Vas. I released this third CD three months ago and gave its title to represent the sanguine rhythm of life in Waupoos where I am a singer songwriter who writes during the winter.

The CD is a melody of musical variety with songs ranging from Country to Blues. Of Portuguese descent, I’ve been trained from many musical styles over the years during my relocation from my place of birth in Guyana to England and Canada.

Music is my labour of love. I can mesh musical genres to give audiences some musical effervescence and make even a casual music listener prick up his ears and pay attention to the lyrical imagery of Prince Edward County represented in my songs.
