Cinematic Volunteer:
Cinematic Volunteer plays like an imaginary soundtrack. It has the duo's trademark sound but this one is more eclectic and perhaps more diverse. From groove oriented ethno- ambience to a classical chamber feel.
Vedvik's main musical partner and collaborator for the last few years is Martin Tillman, a world-renowned Swiss born cellist. Tillman's acoustic and electric cellos can be heard on many of Vedvik's recordings, including Slowdiver and Sutra Spin. They have now composed and recorded three albums together, Lingo, Eastern Twin and Cinematic Volunteer. All albums produced by Vedvik.
Vedvik and Tillman wrote several cues for the Michael Mann film "Ali" which also featured two songs from "Eastern Twin". Their music has also been used on several TV programs including the Olympics. Tillman's cello is featured extensively on the score of Black Hawk Down, Hannibal, The Pledge, MI 2, Pirates of the Caribbean, Ring and Ring2 and on over a hundred more major motion pictures. Vedvik wrote music for the Norwegian TV Series "Fox Gronland" which won an award for best drama production in Norway.
