Album Notes

“UNSUNG” is my first collection of instrumental tracks for tv & film. I recorded it with the same team of musicians, Armand John Petri, Joe Rozler and John Caruso, who performed on the lion's share of my previous release "Pearl Diving" and allowed me to stretch them like Gumby dolls for this diverse group of compositions. These tracks vary from children’s tunes to fun & quirky pop to vintage & retro to anthem-like action rock tracks. All 15 have been placed in television shows such as The Late Show with David Letterman, MTV’s “Exposed”& “The Real World,” “Access Hollywood,” Food Network’s “Ace of Cakes,” UNCF’s “An Evening of Stars,” and “America’s Funniest Pets & People” as well as the 2006 Winter Olympics, Torino, Italy.

All proceeds from sales of Undertones as well as my 3 previous releases via cdbaby.com and private fundraising events thru 2012, will be donated to the Music Department of the Daniel Webster Elementary School of Weehawken, NJ. The objective is to raise money to purchase new Percussion Instruments such as Clave, Cowbells, Moroccas, Guiro, Timbales, Congas, and Bongos. Students will have the opportunity to participate in a new live Latin Jazz percussion ensemble which will accompany the DWS concert choir. These instruments will also be used to teach different styles of music throughout the school year to grades 1 & 2, and introduce Pre-K and Kindergarten to Jazz and the various rhythm instruments during their music classes.
