Who is Jimmy Velvet?
Jimmy Velvet was a young recording artist in the 1950’s /1960’s and still performs today with hit songs as ‘We Belong Together’, ‘Teen Angel’, ‘It’s Almost Tomorrow’ and ‘Blue Velvet’, just to name a few. His history in the entertainment industry is rather unique and incredible and only a mere dream for most. Jimmy was fifteen years old when he first met Elvis Presley. (Elvis was 20) Elvis and Jimmy remained life long friends. After Elvis’ untimely death, Jimmy became the founder and CEO of the Elvis Presley Museum located in Memphis, Nashville, Orlando and Honolulu. The museum hosted the largest authentic collection of artifacts owned by Elvis in the world. The museum also included a world wide tour exhibit of selected personally owned items once belonging to Elvis. Jimmy has been known by many as “The Godfather of Memorabilia” as quoted by Rolling Stone Magazine.
As a performer, Jimmy Velvet had toured with just about everyone in the rock n’ roll business and also rubbed elbows with many noted celebrities in hollywood. By his side was his camera and he took thousands of photos and has built a large library of unbelievable unpublished candid shots. Jimmy has now compiled these photos and has released his photo-biography entitled “Inside The Dream: The Jimmy Velvet Story”
Inside The Dream is an over-sized, hardbound coffee table book that is 288 pages of over 5 decades of hollywood, rock and country candid photos that pulls the reader personally into each decade of this historical blast from the past. You’ll find yourself saying over and over, “I remember when….” As you turn each page and watch the past 50 years of entertainment history come back to life. http://www.insidethedream.net
Today, Jimmy is still performing his greatest hits in the doo-wop circuit, attends book signings and speaking engagements around the country and Europe.

This is wonderful. I never knew about him and it is a shame that he wasn't much more popular. He is on the level of Bobby Vinton and a whole lot better than some others, such as Frankie Avalon, Fabian and others.

Reflections of Jimmy Velvet's Greatest Hits

Pleasant surprise. It's much better than i thought
it would be. There's 6 songs by other artists
that Jimmy covered. 2 songs about Elvis. Plus
original material. I 'd describe Jimmy Velvet as
a teenage idol , type singer. Do youself a favor
and buy his book when you buy this CD. It's
called " Inside The Dream - The Jimmy Velvet
Story." Great pictures of Jimmy with most 50's
singers.
