Founded in 2002 Velvet Voices is a women
a-cappella quartett performing a wide range of jazz and popsongs as well as own compositions.
At the Ward Swingle Award competition (Graz) Velvet Voices won already twice a gold placement in the category of Jazzmusic. In 2003 Velvet Voices opened Voicemania (Vienna Voice Festival) and since the year 2004 they were singing for Jeunesse. They performed several times at Vokal Total and cellebrated great successes for example at their concert debut in Szeged (Hungary), at the Bregenzer Festspiele and at the Donauinselfest (Vienna).
The concert at the Radiokulturhaus Wien was broadcasted live by ORF and WDR. Portraits of VelvetVoices were featured by Deutschlandradio, WDR 3, Radio Wien, Radio Arabella, BR and Ö1. Velvet Voices performed with Louise Martini in Nylons, Swing und Chesterfield a production of the Wiener Volkstheater and were invited to take part in the TV-Shows Licht ins Dunkel and Willkommen Österreich and in several local TV station programms as well.

I hear a lot of passion and a lot of music. Made by only four musicians, who simply sing.
Velvet Voices have chosen an attitude that is very pleasing to my ears - just sing and let the music come out.
