Album Notes

The Vengeful Few were formed in 2004 by guitar players Tom Catuosco and John Zambri. The band was conceived as a vehicle for writing and playing classic 80’s style metal in the vein of great bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Dio, and others. They were tired of the modern music that passed for “metal” and wanted to create music that had actual guitar solos, true metal guitar riffs, and real singing.

No drudging garbage tuned down 10 octaves with Cookie Monster “singing” over it.

Tom and John share lead and rhythm guitar work reminiscent of the great metal guitar duos of the 80’s. Vocals are supplied by the immensely talented Keith Vitali, whose voice has been described by some as “the result of putting Dickinson, Halford, Dio, and Tate into a blender”. Drummer Gary Rinaldi keeps the time and draws upon the influences of drumming legends John Bonham, Neil Peart, and Nicko McBrain among others. Bottom end is supplied by Jim Gowe, with bass lines that keep the songs grounded and moving along.
