Album Notes

A few years ago, a group of guitar geeks in the L.A. area got together to profess our love of the Ventures and the inspirational guitar playing of Nokie Edwards. We didn't realize then that we'd get the chance to work with Nokie many times over the years as his backup band. As you can imagine, this has been a huge thrill for all of us in "Venturesmania."

We finally put an album together, with Nokie's participation, that we feel sounds like a great unreleased Ventures album from the mid-1960's. All the right guitars, amps, drums, and microphones were used to give it "that sound." We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it. Remember, Venturesmania isn't a tribute band, it's a support group! If you've got the sickness then welcome aboard!
